Setting power
Application
Clean area - 99% alcohol
Vaseline hair areas that may be in contact with prosthetic
Place prosthetic
Powder around edges of the area (holding prosthetic in place) - for guidance
Apply adhesive - apply to whole area , centre to edges

Let dry on area of skin (if large prosthetic) , layer 2

Get tacky / half clear adhesive

Apply

Lay prosthetic in the most centre point - lay it flat going outward

Smooth creases
-
Push every corner into every crevice of face (contact everywhere)

Peel back slightly - seal back down for seamless edge

Under and over edges with pros- aid
-
Blend with latex (above and below) thin layer / repeat
Setting powder
Apply additional makeup - blend

Dissolve edges with acetone
Removal
Apply 99% alcohol - breaks down pros-aid
Peel off with cotton bud
Clean prosthetic with 99% alcohol - scrub pros-aid off (reuse prosthetic)
(Clean brushes with 99% alcohol)
Risks
May have to trim if not tailored to face shape
If thick seam - use paper towels for quick fix to cover visible edge - seal with latex
Hazards chemicals - fumes (instruct to open/ close mouth and eyes if working with a client/ model)
1st prosthetic appliance notes / reflection
Refill mould, fill nose more and made edges neater and smaller
Buy white sponges / sfx face paint - ben nye ( bb cream didn’t take to the prosthetics snd blend well ) add more shadows and dark in nostrils
Lay smoother/ flatter edges - thinner layers of latex (apply with sponge)
Making clay prosthetic from the start smaller and make it fit face better - lips may work better ?
Find model with gap in teeth - slick woods inspired
