Artist statement 

 

Gender bending bandits is a project encouraging freedom of expression. The intention behind my project is to create loud, exigent work that doesn’t conform to any label, making the viewer either smile or feel disgusted, either of the two I’d be happy with. It’s a mix of male and female features to create not a boy, not a girl, just a being. Everyone on earth is so concerned with what everyone else is doing and passing judgement, if we all viewed ourselves as beings instead of feeling obligated to look and act a certain way due to a male or female image the world would be a much more diverse interesting place to be, gender is just a social construct.
